@Observing: Zeer tijdelijk. Eergisteren een onverwacht dik pak. Gisteren was alles al weer weg. En vandaag is het gewoon herfst. Tot ziens. @Zing: Thanks. See you. @Cia: Her it was only for one day! Today all landscape is again in autumn-style. Ronnie 2¢ from London, United KingdomWe had a rare touch of snow in London this week but I have come to accept the increasing blurring of our seasons here. This is a charming reminder of how things once were. 25 Nov 2008 9:43am @Ronnie 2¢: It'the same with us. Ther was a lot of snow for one day. Yesterday it was all gone. And today we have a relatively nice weather. Seasons?! @Cheryl: No the snow and frost are over. Today it's a ordinary autumn day . Bye. Alaukika from Pune, IndiaThat's a very lovely texture you've created out of snow and tree. Brilliant shot!!! 25 Nov 2008 2:08pm @Alaukika: I'm glad you are the first one who is reacting on the structure. That was the purpose of my ('abstract') photo. Thanks for the compliment and see you again. Michael Skorulski from Cigel, SlovakiaSnow on branches is beautiful and hypnotic. 25 Nov 2008 2:21pm @Michael Skorulski: Especially in such a tangle. Earnest from Oklahoma, United StatesReminds me of last year in my location except it was ice! 25 Nov 2008 2:28pm @Earnest: Ice on branches is in Holland very unusual. Snow also not so often. @gbe: Thanks for your in substance comment. See you. @Vink: Thnak you for the compliment. See you again. @ninni: Thanks. That was the purpose, indeed. See you. @vu@granby - Wolfgang: Dat is de bedoeling. Dank je. Thank you. Merci. Danke schön. (Wolfgang, you are a polyglot I think!) @Eleftheria!: Thank you so much. Bye. @Antonio: Many thanks for the compliment. See you again. @Rags: I do too. Paco Díaz from Palma de Mallorca, SpainWonderul image. I like very much the framing/composition. Branches, snow... a hyerogliphic to look at many times. It looks also like a b/w Pollock 25 Nov 2008 4:35pm @Paco Díaz: I like your in substance comment. It is indeed a B&W, was it yet almost. @Orko: Thanks for your compliment. See you again. @yiannis krikis: Thank you. See you again. @zOOm: Thanks for the compliment! See you again. @Veronelle: Merci beaucoup et au revoir. @Elena Kotrotsou: Yes, indeed with fresh clean snow. Bur there isn't much real winter in Holland, normally. @Dhini: Dank je wel, tot ziens. @Ana Lúcia: Thank you for your compliment. Bye. Pixim from Nice, FranceBeautiful photo covered with snow, I like the abstracted side from the scene, colors disappear, the white becomes a king, they do not stay more than lines which draw a still present world, under the coat of the winter Bravo ;) 25 Nov 2008 6:50pm @Pixim: Thank you very much for your extensive comment. That is what I meant by the picture: a graphical picture in B&W, abstract, only play of lines. Nilla from County Östergötland, SwedenI can see that you have got some snow too. This tree is a jumble of branches. Nice captured. 25 Nov 2008 6:58pm @Nilla: We have got snow, quite a lot, but only for one day. After a day it was all gone! Jose Antonio from Barcelona, Spain¡Que Friiio! 25 Nov 2008 7:09pm @Jose Antonio: (I can understand but a little bit of Spanish). The snow was here in whole Holland, but only for one day. Thereafter it was gone. @Alun Lambert: Thanks for comment and visit. Bye. manel from Girona, SpainPerfecto entramado y buen "ojo". No todos hubieramos hecho esta foto. Enhorabuena. 25 Nov 2008 7:17pm @manel: (I understand only a little bit of Spanish). Thanks for the compliment. See you again. PeterFH from Gothenburg, SwedenVery nice winter scene, good to see that others than we here in the north have got a taste of winter. 25 Nov 2008 7:34pm @PeterFH: The snow lasted only for one day. Yesterday is was totally gone again. Charles from New York, United StatesBeautiful shot. Nice winter scene. I like how it fills the entire picture. 25 Nov 2008 8:07pm @Charles: I'm glad you like the filling composition. @Moreno: Good advise. I have tried that, but then I lose the graytones in the snow and it becomes almost two-tone graphical. Is possible. I'll try it another time. Graham Russon from Cape Town, South AfricaNice shot, I like the depth of it, which is only apparent after you stare at it for a while. 25 Nov 2008 8:51pm @Graham Russon: It works a little bit hypnotic, isn't it. @mo.langel: Thank you for the compliment. See you again. kerfendal from Paris, Francenice pic of something we have rarely the possibility to see : the snow 25 Nov 2008 9:02pm @kerfendal: Indeed it's nowadays rare. This snow was only for ONE day. Andrew Gould from Sydney, AustraliaStark, desolate looking. Wonderful idea for a composition. 25 Nov 2008 10:17pm @Andrew Gould: Thanks for comment and visiting. Bye. Howard F. from South Pasadena, Calif., United StatesAw man, now I know how people get lost in the snow because after staring at it for a while, everything looks black and white. Good shot, Al. 25 Nov 2008 10:22pm @Howard F.: I had trouble to find my own house after making this photo. {;-) JJ from Jersey City, United Statespostcard quality winter capture, so glad we dont have that here yet 26 Nov 2008 12:19am @JJ: Here it gone in one day! Beautiful! :) 26 Nov 2008 6:46pm @Shirin Moosavi: Thanks for the compliment. See you again. @Kathryn: That was the purpose. Thanks for the compliment. See you again. Ken McCoy from Orlando-Daytona Beach, FL, United StatesWhat a tangle! Great shot :) 27 Nov 2008 4:17am @Ken McCoy: A labyrinth next to my frontdoor! Thanks for comment and visit. Peter Knoop from Antwerp, BelgiumHeel leuke compositie. Tot ziens. shadebox from Budapest, HungaryGreat composition, looks like a carpet pattern. Good job, I really like it! 3 Dec 2008 2:09am @shadebox: Thank you for the compliment. Bye. @tt: Thanks. See you. |
